A Salem Witch is about to be born, and the Bishop siblings are expected to babysit her until the Salem War is over… seventeen years from now. Jamie is stuck in Asylum for the next seventeen years. Not even magic can get him out of this.
But when the Salem Witch finally arrives, she’s nothing like Jamie expected. Hayden Black drives him insane most days, but she’s the most interesting thing to ever happen to him. Now, Jamie is determined to protect her no matter the cost, even if it means betraying his hometown of Asylum.
The Son of Fire is a short story in the world of Hayden Black and the Salem Witch Trials, an urban fantasy series intended for readers ages ten and above who love Percy Jackson and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Note: It is recommended to read this short story after book one, The Lost Witch, as the timelines overlap and will spoil some events in book one.
